It's Easy Being Green

Building on Gail's post on plastic bottles from the other day, Babble has an article on the 3 most common mistakes parents make when it comes to protecting our environment. Like many people today, I'm concerned about how my actions are affecting the planet we live on, and I think these simple points could be helpful to the new mommies and daddies among us.

The article claims that using plastic bottles is the #1 change that parents should make. Why? Because you eliminate worry about what those materials are going to do to the kid and the environment, and eliminate any chance of ill effects. They recommend glass or stainless bottles, and if all else fails, to buy plastic marked with #2, 3, or 4.

Other points? Don't renovate while your baby is in utero or a newborn - chemicals that adults have built up certain immunities to don't affect babies the same way. And, though it seems obvious, buy green (food, household products, etc) whenever possible. Read the full article here.
