Bringing Along Baby

I attended my good friend Sarah’s wedding over the weekend, which was held in a beautiful location on the North Fork of Long Island. The guests were a mixture of friends from all of the different places she has lived as well as some work colleagues from the yoga studio she runs. It was a nice group of people, and I was happy to meet them all!

As the wedding got underway, I noticed an unusual sight for a wedding – a couple had brought along their newborn baby to the ceremony. Amazingly, little Noah was a model guest – hardly any fussing! I thought it was so nice that they made the trip with such a new member of their family in tow.

Many new parents I know don’t feel comfortable bringing their babies along to such “adult” events, and I can see that side too! Anyone have any good stories to tell about toting their kid along to a wedding or other event?
